Not much has happened on the farm as the field is too wet to rotivate for the beds, everything is growing nicely in the poly tunnel which was put up in no time.
My autumn sown hardy annuals are growing nicely in the greenhouse ive made my sweet pea frame in the poly tunnel using bamboo and twine as it was a much cheaper option than using bamboo canes plus the sweet peas will wrop themselves nicely around the twine as its more roough than a bamboo cane so it should work well. - if any one would like a tuturial of how its made then leave a comment.
Ive broke the ice with you tube and made a channel and posted some videos on there the youtube name is blossomfarm if anyone wants to follow my journey on starting a flower farm from scratch. Ive also posted a video tour of the farm on instagram as awkard as it is talking to yourself and posting stuff for no viewers its a good way to document the journey of a dream of mine.
Ive lots of mushrooms popping up in the poly tunnel which i hopes means great soil health. But i did panic when i saw the first one now its become an obession to go mushroom hunting in there as some are really cool looking.
i've planted some bare root hedges in the patch lots of pittosporum as that is my ulitmate favourite foliage so hopefully in a few years ill be cutting from these and itll help with some wind protection.
Honey moon in new york was an actual dream we had the best time and already cant wait to go back even though i love living in the country i think i could definitely enjoy living in new york. I didnt worry too much about the seedlings although there was a massive storm and i was worried about the poly tunnel being swept away but it survived and i think thats down to the fact we decided to bury ours in with the trench method.
The plan is to start sowing seeds mid feb ive sown my second lot of sweet peas - i hope i love them to me there a flower i wasnt bother about sowing but they seem to be a firm favourite with everyone else so you never know i may love them. Ive Just been doing computer work mainly this month ive made my wedding guide, tried to tidy up the website and put myself on google so hoopefully i can build up more presence and customers.
